Highpoint Center for Print: Standout Prints – Call for Entries, Due June 2

Highpoint Center for Printmaking is pleased to announce Stand Out Prints, our second juried print exhibition. The exhibition will fill HP’s 1,000+ square foot gallery space with select impressions of contemporary printmaking.
The opening reception will take place Friday, September 5th from 6:30-9pm.
Submissions will be accepted online from April 1st until June 2nd, 2014.
Juror: Susan Tallman is an art historian and writer specializing in prints, multiples, and questions of
authenticity and reproduction. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Art in Print and teaches at the School of
the Art Institute of Chicago.
Prizes: Cash prizes and possible purchase awards to be announced.
Eligibility: Selected artists must be 18 years of age or older and work must have been completed after
January 1st, 2012. While non-traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, submissions
must utilize traditional print media (Lithography, Relief, Intaglio, Silkscreen, Monotype). Three dimensional
work may be submitted. Shipping arrangements, packaging and related costs are the responsibility
of the artist. Prints will be displayed unframed behind glass cut to print paper size (unless otherwise
specified by the artist). Each artist may submit 1-3 digital images for consideration.
Important Dates:
Submissions Due: June 2, 2014
Artist Notification: July 25, 2014
Accepted Work Due at HP: August 22, 2014
Exhibition Dates: September 5 – October 18
Opening Reception: September 5, 2014
