Eligibility and

Entry Instructions

 

Eligible artists– Members of Mid America Print Council

 

Eligible media All work must be framed, and ready to display behind non-breakable plastic (no glass), suitable for Museum exhibitions. All Printmaking media is eligible including three-dimensional prints.

 

Maximum size: As Members bear all shipping and crating costs, up to 48’’ each dimension, will be accepted. Prints must be no more than two years old.

You may enter up to 3 works.

No entry fee for current members.

Membership fee:  $20, students, $10. You may pay by PayPal via our website:

Image Specifications

All images must be formatted to the following

specifications in order to upload them successfully into the system.

 

1. Dimensions: 1920 pixels on the longest side

 

2. File Format: Save all images as BASELINE Standard JPEG. Do not save as a Progressive JPEG.

 

3. File Size: JPEGs must be under 1.8 MB.

 

4. Color space: Save images in an RGB color space, preferably sRGB.

 

5. Save to CDs only, Your Name on CD. NO DVDs.

 

6. Include a word document with entry information

including, your name, email address, title, media, dimensions, and year. CDs are not returned.

 

 

Accepted Artwork due Feb 23 – March 7, 2014

All shipped works must arrive prepaid at the South Bend Museum of Art between March 3 and March 7, in sturdy, reusable shipping containers. Hand-delivered works must arrive at the South Bend Museum of Art between Feb 23 and March 7, 2014

 

Conditions of Acceptance

Accepted work may not be removed from the exhibition before the closing date of May 25, 2014. Work included in the exhibition will be eligible to receive cash or purchase awards. Entry into the Mid America Print Council Members Exhibition conveys copyright permission to reproduce your work for our educational material, web page and publicity purposes.

 

Insurance All accepted works are insured while on site at the South Bend Museum of Art until June 8, 2014. The South Bend Museum of Art will not be responsible for works left after June 8, 2014.

 

Return of accepted works to artists is the responsibility of each artist.  Each artist must provide a pre-paid return label, with shipping company clearly noted.

 

Opening Reception and Awards Juror’s awards will be announced at the opening reception, April 4, 2014.
