2013 MAPC Members Exhibition

Banshee Press is excited to host its first juried exhibition for MAPC members.
Through the hosting of this exhibition, we strive to introduce Denver printers, students, artists and the public to artists beyond our region. The show will highlight exceptional work in the field of printmedia.

Please join us for an open call of printmedia-based images. The sky is the limit! No need to follow a theme; show us what you’ve been discovering!

Call for Nominations for the 2014 MAPC Outstanding Printmaker, Due Nov. 15

It is time to nominate an Outstanding Printmaker for our next conference, PRINT CITY: Detroit 2014. Therefore, the Outstanding Printmaker Nomination Committee is now accepting email nominations for this award.

The Outstanding Printmaker will be somebody who has made significant contributions to the field of printmaking. We invite you to nominate somebody who demonstrates this by submitting the following information:

  1. One paragraph or page addressing why this person deserves this honor.
  2. A one-page biography/vita of this person’s contributions to the field.
  3. Contact information, including an email address, phone number, website (if applicable) for this individual.

Nominations will be due by November 15, 2013.

As always, this person will be recognized at the conference and there will be an exhibition of their work to be held in Detroit during the conference. The committee looks forward to receiving your nominations.

MAPC Journal Submission: Deadline extended to August 31

The deadline for submissions to the MAPC Journal has been extended to August 31. We want to hear from you! Use the next week to get your writing done and send it to Jennifer Ghormley,

The MAPC Journal features articles on the contemporary and historical context of printmaking, works on/of paper, drawing and book arts; essays examining the critical theory related to these media; and reviews of exhibitions and publications.
