Printmaking Workshop at Split Rock: From Manual to Digital: Screenprinting Today, July 18-22, with Robin Schwartzman

This workshop is for anyone who is interested in experimenting with stencils, drawing, and digital technology to create a series of prints. Participants will create three different print editions, starting with manual stencils, and continuing with drawing fluid and screen filler. Participants will later use Photoshop or Illustrator (no experience necessary!) to create a multi-layer digital file that will be used for a photo-emulsion screenprinting process.

For the third time, The Sanbao Ceramic Institute is organizing a  cultural tour and workshop in China in conjunction with the Sanbao  International Biennial Printmaking Exhibition, Symposium, Workshop and Tour 2011. This is a three week trip that encompasses visits to contemporary  galleries, presentations and lectures with university print  departments, historical and cultural sites and villages, and workshops  at the institute. States of the State: A Contemporary Survey of American Printmaking limited edition folio of prints from 85 artists from  North America organized by the DPA will be exhibited during the symposium and 4 day event.
