2010 MAPC Conference Call for Exchange Portfolios

The 2010 MID-AMERICA PRINT COUNCIL CONFERENCE in Minneapolis, MN: “New World/Old World” invites proposals for exchange portfolios to be exhibited during the conference OCT 13-16, 2010.

THEME: “MAPC 2010: New World/Old World” explores places where tradition and experimentation meet; Between generations, media and technique, private studios and public events, printmakers increasingly embrace a mixture of practices from different sources. MAPC 2010 aims to engage a younger generation of students and artists and will feature Latino artists. We will celebrate the tradition of our media and its dialogue with new forms as we seek to expand the parameters of our discussion and embrace and impact a larger community.

Please include the following information in your Exchange Portfolio Submission:

.  Exchange portfolio title
.  One paragraph description of portfolio theme and how it relates to the theme of the conference
.  Name of portfolio coordinator(s)
.  Coordinator’s email, resume and a link to artwork
.  Proposed participants
.  Dimensions of prints to be exhibited

Exchange portfolios will be exhibited at a variety of on-campus venues including the Regis Center for Art, University Libraries and The Coffman Memorial Union Art Gallery, Thursday October 13 through Sunday October 17. We will contact selected Exchange Portfolio Coordinators for details regarding installation and any additional requirements.
