Call for Papers & Demonstration Proposals
Deadline: February 1, 2010

Printopolis is a 4-day symposium with an international focus on contemporary
printmaking being presented by Open Studio and held in Toronto, Canada,
October 21 – 24, 2010. Printopolis will feature issue-based panel
discussions/presentations, artist talks and printmaking demonstrations. This
citywide event will feature exhibitions highlighting contemporary print
media works on display throughout Toronto.

Call for Papers

Deadline: Must be received by February 1, 2010

Paper Proposal Submission Requirements
*Paper Proposals must include the following:
-Title of Panel for which you are applying to participate
-Maximum 300-word abstract of presentation
-Maximum 1,000-word detailed description of presentation
-Images representative of the presentation *(see digital image format
requirements below)
-Detailed image list
-Audio/visual equipment requirements
-100-word bio of presenter
-Curriculum vitae of presenter
-Jpeg picture of presenter (must be 300 dpi)
-Name and contact information of presenter (include email & daytime phone
numbers)
-Application materials will not be returned.

Digital images must comply with the following guidelines:
-Compatible with MacIntosh OS 10
-PowerPoint document only (images in jpeg or tiff format NOT accepted).
-Must be saved as .ppt format (.pptx not accepted).
-Identify each image within its document with a number and a title
corresponding to a descriptive list.

Panel Information
-Each panel will be chaired by a moderator. Panels will consist of 4
panelists and 1 moderator. Panel composition may include invited
participants.
-Presenter fees: Full symposium registration fee waived for each presenter.

Call for Demonstration Proposals
Deadline: Must be received by February 1, 2010

Please Note: Proposed demonstrations must to be compatible with Open
Studio’s printmaking studio set-up. To view Open Studio’s Facility/Equipment
visit http://www.openstudio.on.ca and click on “The Studio”.
